One of the more in-depth aspects of Mario’s latest outing is the single-player campaign, Castle Club, which will transform even the most naive of golfers into seasoned pros. The main campaign throws players into the role of a rookie (represented by their Mii), tasked with climbing the ranks in the hopes of besting iconic Nintendo characters from the Mushroom Kingdom. There are three main 18-hole courses on which the bulk of the action will take place, with several challenge holes from the game’s other courses popping up throughout....

The amount of hype surrounding MvC 3 is reaching insane heights, with hardly a week passing without some sort of new trailer, or more fighters being added to the project. The developers have boasted a healthy roster of 32 characters included on the disc, with more to come through DLC. Following the remaining characters being leaked via twitter a few weeks ago, there’s no doubt fans were hoping that the next MvC trailer would confirm the rumors, but no such luck....

Today, Capcom has introduced a new feature that will allow the development team to program unique opponents that would mirror the fighting style and team set-up of various members of the Marvel vs. Capcom development team. Titled Shadow Mode, this new feature set to start rolling out some time in March will see players downloading an AI version of any of a number of real-life gamers. It might not hold a candle to the real thing, but it is a chance for gamers who have run through the generic computer opponents dozens of times to take on a new challenger....

New details suggest that response to the DLC could be mixed, depending on why frustrated players were let-down by the current endings, as the Extended Cut will reportedly focus on fleshing-out the endings with new “variations” - dependent on the player’s choices over the course of the series. That said, the DLC will not include new gameplay sections or choices. According to Kotaku, who was contacted by a spokesperson at BioWare, players will be able to access the new, and more individualized, ending content by loading-up a pre-end game save file - which will contain the necessary data for the updated game to present new ending “variations”:...

Fans should not be concerned that the show has not been recommissioned yet. Though Manifest was renewed for a second season around this time, Season 1 ended much earlier, with the finale airing in mid-February 2019. In fact, the show was renewed just under two months after that finale. As such, we might expect NBC to announce its decision about the fate of Manifest at some point in June....

For those unfamiliar with previous iterations, the Mario & Luigi series is an RPG/platformer hybrid, filled with puzzle solving elements, turn-based combat, and unique mechanics that come from simultaneously controlling Mario and his often overlooked brother Luigi. Dream Team continues to provide a comparable experience to what’s already available from the Mario & Luigi games that appeared on the DS and Game Boy Advance, but mixes up the standard gameplay by giving Luigi a more prominent role....

Consumers who picked up the original title on Wii will be familiar with the basic layout of the game, featuring a combination of various Olympic sports and original sports. While all of that still makes up the base of the Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, there are a lot of enhancements and improvements that are only possible on the significantly more powerful Wii U. That said, there’s a lot left to be desired in the final product and anyone playing solo will find very few redeeming factors....

Anyone with a Twitter account will likely have stumbled upon the “Mary Jane Defending Peter Parker” meme, or had their timeline’s filled with it. The notions of multiplayer being added all stemmed from BioWare hiring multiplayer programmers last year to help engineer a ‘multiplayer environment’ for the Mass Effect series. That was more proof than anyone needed to know that the developers of the science-fiction RPG were thinking about multiplayer, since nearly every current studio is thinking the same thing to some degree. Just months ago we learned that BioWare Montreal was possibly working on a co-op mode for the Mass Effect series, but whether that was for Mass Effect 3 specifically, or a future game in the franchise was unclear....

Savvy gamers have actually been predicting the Omega DLC since August, when it was discovered that coding in the Extended Cut seemed to imply a visit to the fan-favorite location was on the table. Omega was a popular setting for fans, one that left the typical shiny metallic feel of most other levels behind in exchange for a rusted, decrepit atmosphere filled with hostile vagrants and mercenary gangs. Omega made our list of Most Wanted Locations for Mass Effect 3, and we’re glad to see that BioWare hasn’t let the opportunity to head back slip under the radar....

According to Aaryn Flynn, general manager of BioWare’s Edmonton & Montreal studios, both Dragon Age 3 and the next Mass Effect will make full use of Frostbite 3. This revelation came forth shortly after the grand reveal of DICE’s fourth Battlefield, with Flynn taking to Twitter to confirm that his team would be implementing the new engine with future projects; even going so far as to call the new tech “awesome” in the process....

Now, gamers can add one more thing to that list: Mass Effect 4 will feature multiplayer, as was all-but-confirmed by Chris Wynn, Senior Development Director at BioWare. Earlier, Wynn tweeted that BioWare is looking for a “producer to come shape online for the next Mass Effect,” along with a link to a job ad on the official BioWare careers page. In the corresponding list of job responsibilities, BioWare HR mentions that the producer will “champion the vision of the multi-player, connected experiences and online features of the game,” and emphasizes that “a strong online technical background is a plus....

As the title so clearly implies, the Mass Effect Trilogy will contain all three Mass Effect games, neatly encapsulating the entire history of Commander Shepard’s battle against the Reaper menace. Whether or not the collection will also include any and/or all of the series’ DLC has yet to be announced. Priced at $59.99, the Trilogy will arrive packed in what Electronic Arts terms a “Premium Foil Box” adorned with custom artwork....
