The development team weren’t initially planning on implementing Kinect controls to Mass Effect 3, but after a programmer experimented with the idea, BioWare recognized the opportunity to integrate Kinect support into the game. Speaking with OXM, executive producer Casey Hudson stated that one of the game’s programmers was working with the hardware and experimenting with elements of it, to which eventually led to Kinect support being added. The programmer seemingly realized that Kinect’s software allowed him to make it straightforward to connect something players can execute within the game with a voice command....

The news will come as somewhat of a relief to the millions of fans who were caught off guard by the game’s first teaser - or its creative remix - with a holiday release being even sooner than many may have expected. GameStop lists the game as releasing across all platforms in November, which gives PS3 owners ten months to finish Mass Effect 2, being released on the system in January....

The Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance demo gives players the choice to go through a tutorial that explains the basics of the combat system (see: gameplay footage up top) or allows them to jump right into the action with a brief story segment. The demo explains that the story picks up four years after Guns of the Patriots and that Raiden was ambushed, defeated and lost his left eye to self-proclaimed PMC, Desperado Enterprises....

As you would have seen in the trailer below, Metal Gear Solid: Rising has now become Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, with developmental duties now being overseen by prominent Japanese developer Platinum Games. Original developer Kojima Productions has not completely abandoned the project, although head Hideo Kojima might have, they are still staying on as producer for the project. Originally meant to make its big debut at the VGAs, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is sure to be a polarizing reveal for fans of the Metal Gear Solid franchise....

The project, which was officially started three years ago, still has some lengths to go - but in the above teaser video, it’s clear to see that the movie has come a long way....
