Each franchise, in their own respective rights, have held a special place in gamer’s hearts as leading titles for the PlayStation 2. Presently with HD gaming in full force, developers are looking to upgrade these classics to give you the full force they were meant to harness when they arrive later this year. There have been separate trailers for ICO and Shadow of the Colossus a few months ago, but we were left in the dark in terms of a release date....

Yet, the king of them all still remains Minecraft on the PC, which we have just learned hit yet another milestone. Since transitioning out of beta two years ago, the PC version of Minecraft has tallied more than 14 million copies sold. Minecraft creator Markus Persson broke the news on Twitter in his usual nonchalant manner, and then proclaimed his affections for LEGO Marvel Superheroes. He’s likely pretty happy about Minecraft’s overwhelming success, but at this point news of the title’s sales success arrives about once a month....

The Red Devils have enjoyed a positive opening to their 2017-18 campaign at home and abroad. United 11/1 to win CL with dabblebet Jose Mourinho’s side remain unbeaten in the Premier League, to sit joint-top of the table, and have collected maximum points from two group stage outings in Europe. They made light work of a tricky trip to CSKA Moscow in their latest continental fixture, as Anthony Martial inspired them to a 4-1 victory, but Ferdinand believes more game-changing quality will be required if United are to go all the way and challenge the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona....

Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games (what a mouthful) is the third entry in the Olympic licensed series that pits Mario and company against Sonic and his friends and foes. All of the characters duke it out in a wide variety of events to determine those worthy of a gold medal. Sonic and Mario have been bitter rivals for quite some time now, but they didn’t appear in a game together until 2007’s original Olympic Games title....

[HTML1] It’s a shame for Nintendo that there had already been rumours circling about Mario Maker. A photo of Nintendo’s E3 2014 booth showing a large Mario Maker banner was leaked on Friday, and many fans could hazard a guess that the mysterious title would be some kind of Mario level creation tool. Now Nintendo has officially announced the title during the company’s Digital Event at E3 2014. Mario Maker — which is only a working title for the project — will let gamers to “create your custom Mario courses,” according to the trailer....

Carlos Alcaraz was crowned the year-end singles World No. 1 at the ATP Tour Finals at the Pala Alpitour in Turin on Wednesday. In the wake of the coronation, Alcaraz was referred to as the ‘youngest-ever year-end No. 1’ by numerous official tennis accounts on social media. But many have since pointed out that Alcaraz is not the youngest player ever, but rather the youngest ATP player to achieve the feat....

While the modes unveiled so far are your traditional fare, a new feature called the license card is set to create a unique persona for every player. Along with the traditional single player and multiplayer (online and offline) options, the mission mode tasks gamers with completing challenges using a specified character. With so many new (to the franchise) characters being revealed, this option is the perfect way to become more accustomed to a certain character’s strengths and weakness....

Though Mass Effect, for all of its console hindrances, isn’t a bad looking game, the high res texture pack created by JeanLuc761 makes the game look down right stunning. On the surface — just seeing the images in thumbnail version — the mod doesn’t look that impressive, it’s only when they are blown up to epic dimensions that the detail truly stands out. Just try and look Miranda without confusing her with Yvonne Stahovski....

In particular, BioWare has been a fan of releasing images to gamers, letting loose brief glimpses of Mass Effect 4’s production. The developer released several pieces of concept art in November, giving would-be players a look at some new planets and potentially new alien races. Meanwhile, BioWare also showed off an image of the motion capture process for the title. BioWare’s latest image reveal, however, is undoubtedly the most cryptic of the lot....

On the slim chance that there may still be a few lost souls who haven’t committed to playing the game, Electronic Arts and BioWare are sweetening the deal even further. Announced just today, the pre-order program for Mass Effect 3 awards players with unique and powerful in game weapons and/or armor, depending on retailer. A pair of new trailers shows just what gamers can expect from the bonuses. First, the good news....

With literally a whole universe of possibilites on offer, it seems like just about everyone has their own personal wishlist for Mass Effect 4, but the one wish unifying all members of the series’ fandom is one for more information. Now that almost two years have passed since the release of Mass Effect 3, the time seems ripe for us to learn more. Luckily, BioWare’s general manager Aaryn Flynn just can’t resist a good tease and today shared a boast on Twitter that’s bound to make a lot of people jealous....

While not revealing platform details, Rockstar did mention that the mobile version of Max Payne will get a graphical update with high-resolution textures, “taking full advantage of the latest mobile technologies, including incredibly customizable controls.” This hints that iOS and Android will get the HD remaster of Max Payne since these devices lack the twin-sticks of a controller. Max Payne was one of the most influential games of the last generation, appearing on every major console, including the Game Boy Advance....

A new video details how Bullet Time has been adapted for online play, in addition to offering a look at at Max Payne 3’s multiplayer modes. Rockstar Games has already revealed the “Crews” feature that will debut in Max Payne 3 and carry over to Grand Theft Auto V. For that matter, a number of Max Payne 3 multiplayer screenshots have been released, but today we get our first real look at the game’s multiplayer in action....

City had to dig deep to secure a last-gasp victory at the Vitality Stadium after falling behind to Charlie Daniels’ stunning opener, with Gabriel Jesus levelling things up. But Sterling stole the headlines in the seventh minute of stoppage time as his deflected effort beat the helpless Asmir Begovic to spark excited celebrations among the visiting supporters. Referee Mike Dean then showed the winger a second yellow card for inciting fan encroachment, leaving Guardiola confused....

Dustin Brown, Tyler Toffoli, Dwight King, Trevor Lewis and Martin Jones all got in on it. Not bad. Toffoli’s was funny, if you think getting compared to Paul Rudd is somehow negative. You’ll read meaner stuff about Brown on a nightly basis, though. See?

The first of those two games is Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, which will serve a prologue of sorts to the next numbered MGS title, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. However, while gamers had heard that Ground Zeroes would be a prologue, it apparently will be more like an appetizer. Allow us to explain. According to Game Informer, who went hands-on with Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes for their March cover story, the title only takes about 2 hours to complete....

Most importantly, a familiar face may be returning once again. The release of Metal Gear Solid 5 is a foregone conclusion, and while we have our questions over which of Sony’s consoles it may be released on, it’s seeming more and more likely to be a markedly different experience. The head of Kojima Productions opened up when speaking with French gaming magazine IG, hinting that a discussion of his next Metal Gear Solid game is likely to be coming soon....

Although we know that Ground Zeroes is right around the corner (and that fans will likely tear through the entire game in just a few hours), up until this point we’ve been in the dark about when we could expect the release of The Phantom Pain. Thanks to the sharp eyes of Reddit user Hitzkolpf, we may now be able to narrow down our guesses for a release date....

The decision to cancel Metro Last Light’s multiplayer came shortly after E3 2012, THQ revealed today. Developer 4A Games had a small team working on the game’s multiplayer, but it eventually “decided to fold the multiplayer team into the main group.” According to 4A, the decision is rooted in reactions to the game’s E3 demo. While supportive of Metro multiplayer, fans were clearly more interested in the game’s singleplayer campaign....
