The tease comes in the form of a new mini-trailer, just over 30 seconds long, featuring a mix of bloody live-action clips interspersed with grainy digitized imagery and the tagline “Make it Right” - along with the teaser date and a link to the official Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance website.
It’s unclear exactly what is being depicted in the teaser - are the unfortunate people shown in the trailer undergoing similar augmentation procedures as leading-man Raiden or is the video showcasing something else entirely? At this point we don’t have much to go on - hence the 4/30/12 date - aside from a brief description that accompanies the official version of the trailer on YouTube:

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is still one of our most anticipated upcoming titles - even if fan reaction to the game’s action-heavy hack-and-slash gameplay has been mixed (at best). While it’s understandable that fans hoping for a new stealth action title would be let down - this isn’t, at least not any more, a Metal Gear Solid game. Instead, the Rising spin-off is being marketed as a separate experience - that happens to occur in the same world (and with at least one familiar character).
As for what we can expect from the reveal on the 30th - anything is possible. Currently, the official site for the game, as teased in the trailer, is nothing more than a countdown; though, it’s certainly possible that Kojima Productions will drop a few more hints prior to the full reveal. The most likely outcome is that we’ll be seeing a new trailer for the game that, much like the Spike VGA trailer, showcases the same frantic and over the top action; however, this round, we’ll hopefully be treated to a bit more story information - not just Bayonetta-style hack and slashery.
Of course it’s also possible that Kojima Productions is going to reveal something far more controversial - such as a multiplayer mode of sorts (remember: Metal Gear Solid 4 included multiplayer). If that’s the case, hopefully Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will offer a better option than the shoe-horned multiplayer mode in fellow action title, Ninja Gaiden 3.
